About Us

Saint Luke Orthodox Church of McLean, Virginia, serves Orthodox Christians in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Originally founded as a parish of the Serbian Orthodox Church, St Luke Church was received into the Orthodox Church of America in 1981. Our services are conducted all in English on the First and Third Sundays of every month and in English with some Church Slavonic hymns otherwise. Saint Sava Patron Saint Day Celebration – Sunday, January 29

We will soon celebrate our Saint Sava Slava with Divine Liturgy at 10:30AM followed by the Slava Prayers in the Chapel. Our Sisterhood will prepare the buffet luncheon and asks for donated desserts. Plan to join in the commemoration of St. Sava’s legacy of Christian education and the spiritual nurture of children.

Food for the Needy

Donations of nutritious foods and monetary gifts are welcomed every Sunday and delivered to S.E.R.V.E. Emergency Food Bank by Fr. Deacon Patrick.

Vespers and Orthodoxy 201

Vespers and Orthodoxy 201 – Wednesday Nights

Our Vespers service begins at 7PM followed by the study of the Gospel of John.

All are welcome to join in for a time of prayer, fellowship and spiritual insight.

All parishioners are encouraged to host a Coffee Hour in the coming months. The calendar is by the Gift Shop.
