Welcome to Our Parish!

About Us

Saint Luke Orthodox Church of McLean, Virginia, serves Orthodox Christians in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Originally founded as a parish of the Serbian Orthodox Church, St Luke Church was received into the Orthodox Church of America in 1981. Our services are conducted all in English on the First and Third Sundays of every month and in English with some Church Slavonic hymns otherwise. New Church Office Hours

Fr. John’s Office Hours

Fr. John plans to be working here at the church every Tuesday through Friday from 10:00AM to 3:00PM.  He will be available for chatting, pastoral consultations, religious instruction, confessions, or any other need of the parish. While he welcomes drop-ins, it would be best to call ahead (925-667-6451), since he may be making pastoral visits during those hours as well.

 

Vespers

Vespers begins at 7PM followed by our group study of the Divine Liturgy.

 

Orthodoxy 201

Orthodoxy 201 – Wednesday Nights

Following Vespers, the 201 class will meet this Wednesday at 7:30PM in the office-meeting room to continue the study of the Divine Liturgy. Everyone is welcome.

 

New Orthodox Study Bibles

New Orthodox Study Bibles have arrived at the church.
Please see Father Patrick Gariano if you like to purchase one.

Host a Coffee Hour

All parishioners are encouraged to host a Coffee Hour in the coming months. The calendar is by the Gift Shop.

New Cookbooks available for $12.

Thank you to all those who contributed recipes for our St Luke cook book. We've gathered over 300 tasty recipes.

St. Luke Orthodox Sisterhood meetings are held on the 2nd Sunday of the month after coffee hour
